Husky Metal Roofs

Project Description

My Senior Capstone Course required a team of 15 students to work closely with one another and the owners of Husky Metal Roofing; with the goal of implementing a new, effective, and desirable campaign strategy.


Client Need

Current advertising strategy does not leverage social media, therefore lacking brand awareness in younger generations. Husky Roofs could benefit from compelling visual appeal, a unique selling point, and a clear call to action. Their goal is to open a new location in the Traverse City area by November 2024, in addition to opening a successful West Michigan location in 2026.


Primary Role: Media & Creative Team Member

Responsible for the completion of the SWOT Analysis, market research survey, advertising strategy of “lifetime warranty”, Web Chat, & virtual color simulator (UX).


Lessons Learned

  1. Recognizing which team members have not been engaged in discussion will help the team anticipate setbacks, plan ahead, and delegate the workload that lacks completion.

  2. Communicate with superiors prior to pitching a new visual direction to the group. Earning trust and respect is vital as a creative, your approach could determine the project outcome and your credibility within the team.

  3. Be bold with confidence, as a creative you have to sell others on your vision.
